Much to my dismay, the Washington Renaissance and Fantasy Faire, my annual summer outing, was canceled this year due to something squidgy and legal involving land use permits for the new site.  I was rather disappointed.  So, of course, needing a Faire fix, I looked around a bit for another place to go.  Luckily for me, there is the BC Renaissance Festival the last week of August, which is actually closer than the one in WA.  It will, of course, be much smaller, since it's only in its second year of operation, but it sounds like a respectable event and I am perfectly willing to patronize.  I had not planned on making a new dress this year, bu
