And I'm excited about it.  I'm kind of still recovering from the whole Anime Boston thing, and have been doing a lot of internet-ing with stalking myself on forums and looking for pictures and what-not.  Megamo has anticipated me, though, whenever I find a picture of myself on DA and run to go link to it, she's already been there and done that.  I bow to her superior DA skills.  That's why Nel has two mothers.  I'm thinking about making a little tutorial for centaurs too, if anyone would be interested.  I've got some rough diagrams drawn up, but I think I'm going to have to tweak them, so keep your eyes open. Much to my dismay, the Washington Renaissance and Fantasy Faire, my annual summer outing, was canceled this year due to something squidgy and legal involving land use permits for the new site.  I was rather disappointed.  So, of course, needing a Faire fix, I looked around a bit for another place to go.  Luckily for me, there is the BC Renaissance Festival the last week of August, which is actually closer than the one in WA.  It will, of course, be much smaller, since it's only in its second year of operation, but it sounds like a respectable event and I am perfectly willing to patronize.  I had not planned on making a new dress this year, bu

My family is now the proud owner of our fifth sewing machine and a serger.  It is really a lovely piece of work, an interesting red color, and a Viking, swedish made, so good.  But still.  I sometimes wonder why every female in my family (my grandmother alone owns about six machines) feels the compulsion to hoard sewing machines.  The more interesting thing is that with the sewing machine came about five boxes full of stuff.  And I mean stuff.  Weird stuff.  Like a ton of ancient seventies patterns (including like five bathrobe patterns... seriously, who uses a pattern for a bathrobe?), unsorted buttons, a pair of left handed scissors, bits o
